Entitlement For Product Bundles

You can now automatically inherit entitlements from individual items (Plans, Add-ons, and Charges) into Product Bundles in Chargebee. When items with configured entitlements are added to a product bundle, Chargebee automatically calculates and applies the corresponding entitlements at the bundle level.

Why is this important?

Previously, entitlements configured for individual items did not automatically apply when a product bundle was created using those items. You had to manually configure entitlements at the bundle level and update them separately whenever item-level entitlements changed. With this enhancement, entitlement configuration is streamlined, improving operational efficiency and ensuring consistent entitlement management across items and bundles.

How can you use it?

Entitlements for product bundles are automatically enabled when you turn on product bundling for your site. To enable product bundling, go to Configure Chargebee > Product Catalog > Product Bundling.

Item Price Entitlement Overrides

Chargebee now supports entitlement overrides at the item price level within subscriptions, allowing you to configure custom entitlements for individual items (plans, addons, or charges) for a specific subscription.

Why is this important?

This provides greater flexibility for enterprise contract scenarios by enabling precise entitlement configuration at the item price level. You can customize entitlement values for individual subscriptions without impacting the default Product Catalog setup, while ensuring automatic and accurate recalculation during subscription changes.

Acceptance links for one time charge quotes [1.75 Package]

Chargebee CPQ for Salesforce now generates a Checkout or Quote Acceptance link when you create a one time charge quote and auto-populates it in the Chargebee Checkout link field. This gives you a ready to share link that lets the customer accept the quote and complete payment through Checkout, while ensuring the transaction is created in Chargebee and synced back to the quote.

Why is this important?

This update gives you a consistent link based acceptance flow across new business, amendments, renewals, and one time charges. You can keep your sales led workflows intact, reduce manual follow ups, and ensure purchases are accepted through the correct flow so Chargebee records the transaction and syncs quote details accurately.

How can you use it?

1. Create a one time charge quote in Salesforce.
2. Copy the generated link from the Chargebee Acceptance link field and share it with the customer to collect payment details and complete quote acceptance.

Free Periods for Subscriptions now available in Salesforce [1.74+ Package]

You can now configure a free period when creating subscriptions directly from Salesforce. This option is available on the Manage CB Products page, allowing you to offer a defined introductory duration before recurring billing begins without using a trial.

Why is this important?

This helps you support sales-led growth by giving your sales team more flexibility to close deals while keeping billing logic simple. It is especially useful when you want to exclude usage charges during the initial period, continue to apply one time charges such as setup or onboarding fee, if needed, and avoid the complexity of ramp configurations. You also reduce manual effort by eliminating the need to adjust billing dates after subscription creation.

How can you use it?

You can enable the free period option during subscription creation in Salesforce for eligible plans that do not use trials. Once configured, Chargebee automatically calculates and applies the updated next billing date, ensuring your billing schedule reflects the agreed introductory duration without additional follow-up actions.

Discounts now available for metered items in quote PDFs

Discounts applied to metered items are now displayed in both consolidated (summary level pricing) and detailed quote PDFs (itemized charges).

Why is this important?

This enhancement gives your customers and sales teams clear visibility into how discounts apply across all charge types, including usage-based charges, reducing friction during quote review.

How can you use it?

No action required. When generating quote PDFs, you will now see discounts reflected for metered items alongside other charges.

TCV now calculated correctly in renewal quotes

We fixed an issue where the Total Contract Value shown in renewal quotes was incorrect after editing the contract start date. This occurred because the contract summary dates became out of sync with the subscription dates, resulting in incorrect TCV calculations. The fix ensures both date sets remain aligned.

Fix:Quote billing cycle dates now display correctly

We fixed an issue where quotes showed past dates for the next billing cycle (for example, 2023 instead of 2026) for subscriptions with a trial period and metered charges. Quotes now correctly calculate billing cycles from the actual future billing date.

Fixed:German translations now display correctly for charges

We fixed an issue where German translations for charge terms were displayed incorrectly in quotes. The correct term Einmalig is now shown for one-time charges, and billing frequency labels follow a consistent display order across line items.

Fixed:Plan term changes no longer fail on renewal quotes

We fixed an issue where updating the plan duration or billing frequency on a renewal quote failed with a 400 error. This happened when changing plan frequencies during renewal, incorrectly blocking the update. Renewal quotes now allow supported plan term and frequency changes without errors.

We fixed an issue in the mobile checkout view of quote checkout links where a duplicate "check the box" consent option was shown.

Fixed:Subtotal excluding VAT now shown correctly in quote PDFs

Phone number now follows sync settings during customer updates

We fixed an issue where the company phone number was updated even when you selected "Do Nothing" for customer updates from Chargebee. This could override the existing phone number unexpectedly. With this fix, the phone number updates only based on the selected sync preference, while other synced fields continue to work as expected.

Removed price variants from item prices in Chargebee now sync correctly to Salesforce. Previously, deleted variants could still appear in Visualforce pages, even though the Chargebee API rejected them as invalid.
