Updates, changes, and improvements at Chargebee
Pricing Tables now support volume, tiered, and stairstep pricing models, giving you greater flexibility to showcase your pricing strategies. Plus, with the new 'quantity slider' feature, your visitors can easily select their desired quantity right from the pricing page. This selection is automatically transferred to Chargebee Checkout, simplifying the purchase journey.
Cancellation Management: You can now modify or remove a scheduled cancellation directly from Salesforce.
Auto-Collection Default Fixed: Fixed an issue where auto-collection was incorrectly set to 'On' by default when creating a new subscription.
Subscription Change Cancellation: You can now cancel scheduled subscription changes from within Salesforce.
Reason Code Update for 'CB Credit Note' Object: Updated the Reason Code field on the CB Credit Note object from the deprecated Reason_code_c to create_Reason_code.
Immediate Refund Field Updates in Salesforce: Refunds initiated from Salesforce will now immediately display updated field values upon page refresh, instead of waiting for the next sync.
Pause/Resume Subscription Action Sometimes Disabled: If you have a subscription that started in Chargebee, there were cases where the Pause/Resume Subscription action was disabled, even if you had this feature turned on in Chargebee. This is now corrected.
Issue with Refunds in Salesforce: When issuing refunds from Salesforce, there was an occasional error if the Reason Codes feature wasn't active in Chargebee. We've resolved this problem.
Admins Get Notified About Package Upgrades: Admins will now receive email notifications when there's a new Chargebee package ready for installation.
Do a bulk import and export of tax rates for multiple countries, states, pin codes, or even pin code ranges for all your tax profiles together using the Bulk management of Taxes feature. You can introduce tax rate groups with effective start dates and end dates under tax profiles for each tax rate. Contact Chargebee Support to enable this feature for your site.

You can now use your custom domain for Chargebee Checkout directly with Pricing Tables—no extra setup required! Navigate to Settings → Revalidate Domain to pull in your custom domain settings instantly.
You can now configure to collect reverse charges from customers in specific countries. When a subscription is created for a customer from a different country than your organization address for which you have configured to collect reverse charge, tax is not applied on the invoice, and the Reverse Charge note that you add gets displayed.
The following issues were fixed with this release:
While creating a quote for a new subscription with billing cycles as 24 and addon cycles as 12, the addon was visible for all 24 cycles.
The subscription status was found to be changing when certain fields were updated.
The charge value was found to be calculated twice in Total Contract Value when the charge was added at subscription creation.
The warning message in Shipstation consistently displayed 51 failed records, despite the actual number being more. We have adjusted the fetching limit from the third-party entity mapping table to reflect the accurate count of failed records.
Introducing two new reports for service delivery:
Service Delivery Rollforward report to track the booking, delivery, expiration and overage, and remaining delivery balance by accounting period.
Service Delivery Control report that reconciles the input data for delivery to what RevRec has processed, to ensure process integrity.
Integrate your Chargebee site with Vertex to automate tax application for your Chargebee invoices and credit notes. You can sync your invoices and credit notes to Vertex and generate reports. Contact Chargebee Support to enable this feature for your site.

In this latest update, we're excited to announce that we have resolved the issue related to updating invoice information in Xero when an invoice has been previously deleted via our API by users with the key 'UpperBee'. With this fix in place, you can now confidently manage your invoices, knowing that any previously encountered errors have been addressed.
In this release, we're thrilled to announce an important enhancement to RevenueStory. Users can now filter historical product names, providing valuable insights into the performance of specific plans and add-ons. This improvement addresses a crucial need for our customers, allowing them to measure individual plans and add-on performance easily. It's especially beneficial for customers whose revenue is primarily derived from addons or a combination of plans and addons.
Chargebee application's Coupon Sets Details page needed enhancement for improved user experience. We've transitioned the Classic UI for the Coupon Sets Details page to the sleeker Leap UI, enhancing user experience and pushing forward with Leap UI adoption, while phasing out the older Classic UI.
Previously, when retrieving a subscription using the retrieveSubscriptions() function list that exceeded the default limit of 100, the SDK failed to provide the subsequent list due to a parsing error.
Proper parsing and handling of the next_offset value have been implemented. Users should now experience seamless pagination for subscription lists beyond the set default limit.
With this release, we're excited to introduce support for one-time purchases in React Native SDK. The SDK now comes with enhanced capabilities to handle various aspects of one-time purchases:
Handle One-Time Purchase Directly: Our SDK is now capable of directly managing one-time purchase transactions, ensuring a smooth experience for end-users.
Caching Receipt Retry for Non-Subscription Receipt Validation: We have optimized the validation process for one-time purchase receipts. In instances where receipt validation might face transient issues, the SDK will cache and retry the validation, ensuring successful and accurate validation for non-subscription purchases.

When users restored purchases using our React Native SDK, incorrect customer IDs were generated in Chargebee, disrupting user access based on their IDs. We've rectified the SDK to support customer object parameters during the restore purchase method, preventing misidentification. Meanwhile, for immediate relief, we've rolled out steps to identify and rectify affected subscriptions by manually merging them back to the original customer.
The following issues were fixed with this release:
Wrong contract value was found to be calculated in future subscriptions when they became active without including the Charges when the future subscription become active.
When next billing date was updated to few minutes later, the subscription was renewed but the event was not generated.
Historic Data was found to be missing from ARR Movement Summary.
When the next billing date was changed for a subscription to the end of the same date, after a metered item is added or replaced, then the subscription renewal was found to fail.
Previously, if a Credit Note (CN) was created before initiating the e-invoice process for an invoice, the e-invoice email was not being sent out as expected. We have resolved this issue to ensure a seamless e-invoice experience for our users.

If you are a business selling to customers in SEZs in India, once you configure and enable GST for India on your Chargebee site, you can configure taxes for customers located in SEZs depending on your unique tax setup. Additionally, you can configure taxes for customers located outside India, for export scenarios depending on your unique tax setup. Contact Chargebee Support to enable this feature for your site.

A new modal design has been implemented for the Manual and Automated emails. New and updated placeholders along with updated left-navigation components have been introduced. With this release, we have made the following enhancements to the User Performance Reports:
You can now save the view with the selected columns and filters to avoid selecting all of it again and again.
You can subscribe to the report and receive a copy of the report in your email inbox at desired intervals.
A new column called Total Collected has been added. This new column gives an idea about the performance of the collector with respect to their collection.
