  ## Introducing addons on Pricing Tables!

[Pricing Tables](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/billing/2.0/hosted-capabilities/pricing-table) now support [addons](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/billing/2.0/product-catalog/addons) from Billing. With this update you can:
\- Ensure all the [applicable addons](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/billing/2.0/product-catalog/applicable-addons-charges) are displayed with your plans on pricing tables.
\- [Customize](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/billing/2.0/hosted-capabilities/customize-pricing-table) the layout and elements of pricing tables in more detail.

  ### **Why is this important?**

\- [Mandatory addons](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/billing/2.0/product-catalog/applicable-addons-charges#configuring-applicable-addons-and-charges) are pre-selected with the plan in the pricing table, ensuring customers understand the full cost from the start, preventing unexpected charges at checkout.
\- [Recommended addons](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/billing/2.0/product-catalog/applicable-addons-charges#configuring-applicable-addons-and-charges) are available for your customers to select, offering them more ways to customize their subscriptions.
\- [Differential pricing](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/billing/2.0/product-catalog/setting-differential-pricing#overview) for addons is supported, and [price variants](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/billing/2.0/product-catalog/variant-pricing-overview) are considered, ensuring pricing accuracy.
\- Existing subscribers can see their current plan and addon details and modify them as needed.
\- Refine the customer experience using an expanded pricing table layout with additional customization options.

  ### **How can you use it?**

Follow the steps below to enable addons on pricing tables.
  1. In [Pricing Tables](https://atomicpricing.com/), under **My Pricing**, select the pricing table.
  2. Under the **New User** tab, select **Manage Product Catalog**.
  3. Under the **Addon** tab, toggle **Enable Addons**. The addons from Billing are now available.
  4. Customize the pricing table.

  ## Pause and resume dunning via API

We're introducing new API endpoints that allow you to pause and resume dunning for your subscriptions. With the [pause dunning API](https://apidocs.chargebee.com/docs/api/invoices?lang=curl#pause_dunning_for_invoice), you can halt dunning for a subscription and optionally specify an expected payment date, which will automatically schedule its resumption. The [resume dunning API](https://apidocs.chargebee.com/docs/api/invoices?lang=curl#resume_dunning_for_invoice) provides a direct way to restart dunning at any time.

  ### **Why is this important?**

You can now programmatically manage when dunning is active, which is particularly useful for handling customer requests for payment extensions, temporary payment issues, or specific customer service scenarios.

  ### **How can you use it?**

You can access these new functionalities through our API. For the **Pause Dunning** API, use the specified endpoint and include the [expected_payment_date](https://apidocs.chargebee.com/docs/api/invoices#invoice_expected_payment_date) parameter if you wish to set an automatic resumption time. For immediate resumption, use the **Resume Dunning** API endpoint.

  ## Deeper insights into customer usage trends

Track how your customers are using your metered features with the new usage pattern analysis feature. This feature lets you visualize customer consumption trends, helping you detect unusual spikes or drop-offs, identify potential upsell opportunities, and better understand how value is delivered across different segments. This is designed to help you quickly diagnose issues and monitor usage activity during spikes.

  ### **Why is this important?**

By analyzing how individual customers use specific metered features over time, you gain critical insights into the actual value they derive from your product. This data can directly influence key business strategies.
  **Example**
Imagine you have a customer on a usage-based plan where they are allocated 1,000 API calls per month. When the support team receives a query about unexpected overage charges, they can go to **Customers > Customer Details > Subscriptions** and immediately see:
\- Allocated usage: 1,000 API calls.
\- Consumed usage: 1,350 API calls.
  \- Overage: 350 API calls.
This breakdown at the subscription level helps the team quickly confirm that the customer indeed exceeded their limit and by how much. It also lets them check if similar overages are happening across other subscriptions for the same customer. This insight allows for a faster support resolution with precise usage data. It enables CSMs to proactively suggest plan upgrades if consistent overages are observed and finance teams to validate overage billing without digging into raw usage logs.

  ### **How can you use it?**

Navigate to **Customers > Customer Details > Subscriptions**. The customer page section includes a tabular summary of usage at a customer level, shown below each subscription details.

  ## Enhanced legal agreement features

Chargebee Checkout now offers enhanced support for presenting [legal agreements](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/2.0/configure-fullpage-fieldslabels.html#configurable-fields-in-checkout_legal-agreements) during the purchase process, allowing you to add and manage multiple policies. Agreements now support rich text formatting, and are displayed in the language based on customer locale. Moreover, Chargebee records [timestamped proof of consent](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/2.0/configure-fullpage-fieldslabels.html#la-view-consent) and maintains an audit trail of changes.

  ### **Why is this important?**

\- **Multiple agreements**: Present all necessary legal agreements—like Terms of Service and Privacy Policy—each with its own consent checkbox, giving customers full visibility and ensuring explicit consent for each one.
\- **Custom styling**: Tailor the appearance of your agreements. Highlight key text, format content for readability, and include links to supporting documents.
\- **Localization support**: Show agreements in the language based on customer locale.
\- **Consent capture & audit trail**: Access timestamped logs for each customer's consent to every agreement, providing a reliable audit trail.
\- **Agreement versioning**: View a complete history of changes to each agreement, with the option to restore previous versions.
\- **Custom notes**: Share important reminders or information right before purchase with a customizable note above the submit button.
\- **Seamless migration**: Keep your setup intact, your existing legal agreement configurations are automatically updated to the new format, saving you time and effort.

  ### **How can you use it?**

In [Chargebee Billing](https://app.chargebee.com/), go to **Settings > Configure Chargebee > Checkout and Self Serve Portal > Fields**. Navigate to the **Legal Agreements** section. From there, you can [add](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/2.0/configure-fullpage-fieldslabels.html#la-add) new agreements, [format](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/2.0/configure-fullpage-fieldslabels.html#la-edit) them, enable language localization, and [review the audit](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/2.0/configure-fullpage-fieldslabels.html#la-edit) trail of changes to agreements.

  ## Ignore Sync Log entries for failed records in NetSuite

We've added an **Ignore option** for records in [NetSuite sync logs](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/billing/2.0/integrations/sync-log-dashboard-netsuite) with the status "Failed" and the error message "Resource was deleted in Chargebee after it failed to be created in the third-party system".

  ### **Why is this important?**

Previously, these specific failed records would remain in your sync logs even after the corresponding resource was deleted in Chargebee. The new **Ignore option** allows you to clear out these entries, giving you a cleaner and more focused view of your sync activity.

  ### **How can you use it?**

Log in to your **Chargebee Billing** site, navigate to **Apps** > **NetSuite** > **View Sync Log**. Clicking the **Ignore option** that appears for failed entries will remove the entry from your active sync log view.

<Update tags={["ENHANCEMENT"]} topics={["Subscriptions"]}>
  ## Improved display of plans in customer emails

You can now display multiple plans in your [customer email notifications](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/billing/2.0/customers/email-notifications-v2), even if some are internally configured as addons. Previously, only the primary plan was recognized as a "plan" in these communications, with other plans appearing as addons. This enhancement ensures that all relevant plans are clearly presented as such to your customers.

  ### **Why is this important?**

This update provides your customers with a more accurate and professional representation of their subscriptions. By displaying all subscribed plans clearly as "plans" rather than "addons," you can enhance clarity in your communications and reduce potential confusion for your customers regarding their billing details.

  ### **How can you use it?**

This improvement is automatically applied to your [email notifications](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/billing/2.0/customers/email-notifications-v2), such as subscription renewal emails, that include plan details.
</Update>

<Update tags={["ENHANCEMENT"]} topics={["Product Catalog"]}>
  ## Set addon and charge differential prices based on plan variants

Chargebee now supports [setting up a differential price](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/billing/2.0/product-catalog/setting-differential-pricing#setting-differential-pricing) for an addon or charge based on the plan [variant](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/billing/2.0/product-catalog/variant-pricing-overview) with which they are purchased.

  **Why is this important?**
Previously, if a plan had multiple variants, then the same differential price of the addon would apply to all plan variants, limiting flexibility. You now have better control over offering specific addon prices for each variant of the plan.

  **How can you use it?**
To set differential pricing for addons and charges by plan variants in Chargebee Billing, follow these steps:

  1. 1. Navigate to **Product Catalog** > **Addons** or **Charges**.

  2. 2. On the **Addon** or **Charge Index** page, select any addon or charge to set the differential price.

  3. 3. Click **+Set Differential Pricing** and select the plan from the dropdown. Ensure that all plan variants are present in the addon or charge to set up the differential price for each plan variation.

  4. 4. Under the **Variant** field, select the variant using the dropdown and click **+Set Price** to enter the differential price for the plan variant.

  5. 5. Click **Create** to create the differential price.

  ## Support for Spreedly third-party token migration

Chargebee now supports third-party token migration for Spreedly, starting with [Orbital (Chase)](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/payments/2.0/orbital.html) and applicable to any gateway that supports third-party tokenization.

  ### **Why is this important?**

Previously, you could only migrate cards with full details into Spreedly vault tokens. With this update, you can now use third-party tokens (Chase-specific tokens instead of full PAN), offering greater flexibility during payment method migration. Chargebee fetches relevant third-party token information through Spreedly and creates a payment method to process payments for migrated tokens.

  ### **How can you use it?**

To migrate using Spreedly third-party tokens, contact [Chargebee Support](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/billing/2.0/kb/getting-started/how-to-contact-chargebees-support-team?utm_source=docs_rn&utm_medium=content&utm_campaign=support) and ensure third-party token flow is enabled in your Spreedly configuration. Chargebee is now equipped to process and store these tokens accurately, allowing you to complete migrations for supported gateways with ease.

  ## View metered features usage trends

You can now analyze metered usage trends over an extended timeframe, giving you better visibility into how your product is being adopted and used over time. Whether you're tracking feature adoption or running quarterly comparisons, this enhancement allows for deeper historical analysis and more informed decision-making.

With the introduction of minute and hourly granularity, you can analyze the data
\- Up to the last 24 hours for hourly granularity
\- Last 2 hours, at a minute level granularity.

  ### **Why is this important?**

Long-term usage data helps you evaluate the impact of product updates, measure sustained engagement, and compare behavior across quarters. This feature gives you a comprehensive bird's-eye view of all subscriptions related to a single customer, simplifying account management.

  ### **How can you use it?**

Usage-Based Billing is currently in early access. [Contact us](https://form.typeform.com/to/bIsKhNt5?typeform-source=www.chargebee.com) to enable this for your Chargebee Billing site. In your Chargebee site, go to **Usages** > **Metered Features** > **Feature Details** > **View Usage Details**.
Head to the usage analytics dashboard and select your desired historical range. You can view historical usage trends for multiple granularities for your metered features to gain deeper insights into your customers' usage patterns.

  ## Checkout failures for child accounts in Account Hierarchy resolved

We've fixed an issue where checkouts using the [Full-Page Layout](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/billing/2.0/hosted-capabilities/checkout-layout-customization#customize-layout) would sometimes fail for child customer accounts within an [Account Hierarchy](https://www.chargebee.com/docs/billing/2.0/customers/account-hierarchy), even when you had correctly designated them as the invoice and payment owners.
